Suggestion
Thank you for the excellent article. One suggestion might be to add a counter and not let the number of redirects exceed it, to avoid an infinite loop where path A tells you to redirect to path B, but path B tells you to redirect back to path A. The redirecting should cap out at some generous but reasonable number.
